Shopping Guide To GMO Free Foods

|
I just came across this fabulous shopping guide to GMO free foods! Not only is it full of excellent facts and info, it also lists brands that are GMO free. Of course, organic producers are not allowed to use GMOs so buying organic is always the best alternative (if possible).

Genetic engineering or modification of foods has been a source of serious discussion over the last few years. Just recently the American Academy of Environmental Medicine (AAEM)* released its position paper on Genetically Modified foods stating that "GM foods pose a serious health risk" and calling for a moratorium on GM foods.
A GMO (genetically modified organism) is the result of a laboratory process of taking genes from one species and inserting them into another in an attempt to obtain a desired trait or characteristic, hence they are also known as transgenic organisms. This process may be called either Genetic Engineering (GE) or Genetic Modification (GM); they are one and the same.
The Non-GMO Shopping Guide can be downloaded for free or purchased in bundles of 50-1000 for distribution.
