When I originally changed my diet I wasn't expecting my husband to join me however after a couple of months, although still skeptical he decided to give it a try and eliminate all animal products from his diet. Being raised a vegetarian it wasn't so hard for me to give meat up however the dairy was more challenging. For him it was the other way around.

I bought a few vegan cookbooks and began testing different recipes and was thrilled to find that I could still make, meatless chicken pot pies, burgers, creamy mashed potatoes, light and fluffy cakes, cookies, puddings, pies, cream sauces, dressings and many other foods without sacrificing flavor. We thought that we would have less variety by cutting out all dairy and meat, however the opposite has proved to be true.

After just four months, my husband's nightly stomach pains with which he lived with his entire life were completely gone. The dairy proved to be the culprit as after eating a slice of vegetarian pizza topped with cheese the pain returned.

Now, two years later his blood pressure has gone down from 135/90 to 105/60, he has lost 48 pounds and has more strength than he has ever had. His skin is clearer, his hair shinier and his energy has increased. His before and after pictures are nothing short of astounding!

His doctor was skeptical as to whether or not vegetables, beans and legumes, soy products and alternative meat products would be sufficient in providing adequate nutrition and protein. After monitoring my husband and performing various blood tests he was nothing short of amazed at the improvement. All in all his health has improved 100%. The doctor has said that he is his healthiest patient!

Because of our daughter we were able to make a life change which has proved to be beneficial to our health and well being.
